Video editing is fun if you know how. Now, most of people in this world have a video cam at home because can shot any incidents happen in our life. We can keep and watch them through DVD or VCD player. But, first thing we must know how to capture the shooting. Here are the tips for you to follow:-
1. When you want to capture video make sure you count till 5 seconds only to make a better shot.
2. Do not straight away zooming when you are shooting. Zoom it first, then start your shooting.
3.You can shoot for a long time but make sure you have the stand for the video cam.
4.Do not move your body when you are shooting.
5.Use flash when you are shooting in the evening.
After shooting, I'm sure you will have difficulties to edit your video cam especially about budget. It's very expensive to send it to the video shop. You can do it on your own using your own computer at home. It's going to make the cost less or sometimes even FREE. You can add some background music or some narration, or maybe a few captions and credits. Video editing on your home computer has become relatively easy when you know how to edit your video.
If you are using XP version, you can find Windows Movie Maker to edit your video. Windows Movie Maker can be used to do all kinds of basic editing including cutting, trimming and rearranging your shots (called "clips"), but is also capable of adding a surprising number of professional looking special effects like transitions and dissolves. Windows Move Maker is intended to be a simple, basic tool that covers everything that most casual home video editors might want or need, and it succeeds. You can work with an audio music or narration track, and there is a simple "Title and Credits" tool that allows you to place lettering on the screen.
Besides Windows Movie Maker, you also can get a few software for video editing such as Sony Vegas, Pinnacle Studio and others that you can find in the shop. But, for me, I love using Sony Vegas 4 because easy, very practical and clear picture.
The most important thing you should know that your computer must have an interface called IEEE-1394, also referred to as "FireWire" or "Sony iLink". If your camcorder has that and your computer also has an IEEE-1394 plug-in, all you will need is a cable to hook them together.
There are guidelines if you do not know how to edit your video. There are very easy guidelines for you to follow. Just follow and you can start your editing using the timeline. The timeline is where you can add optional narration, musical background and others.
When you have finish your video editing, you have to render and burn your video to DVD or VCD. Here, I would like to suggest you burn it into DVD. You will need a DVD software to burn your movie that you need to buy. Many DVD recorders come packaged with a basic DVD burning software package such as Sonic Solutions My DVD, which can be used to author DVD's from the movies you have created and saved as files with Windows Movie Maker. If you are using Sony Vegas, it comes with DVD Architect Studio.
I hope you will enjoy making your own video. It's going to be fun, cheap and easy. You can share your videos with others or publish it to You Tube or Google Video. Have fun with your video editing!
